The PGA Tour heads to Texas this week for the Byron Nelson Championship and many players returning to Las Colinas are likely to be surprised by the course, which has been almost completely reshaped for the 2008 season.
Course designer DA Weibring said that that the new-look course at TPC Four Seasons should provide "plenty of challenges" for those golfers who have become familiar with the old layout.
Weibring has overseen a major renovation of the Dallas golf resort, with every tee and green moved, 70 bunkers altered and a new waterfall feature added at the 18th green.
The $10 million (£5.06 million) project was delayed by two months last summer due to bad weather and the designer told PGA.com recently that he was "happy to be at the finish line" in time for the Byron Nelson Championship.
Weibring also denied that the revamped course is necessarily harder than the old one, stating: "It creates options, gets drivers back in players'' hands."
Masters champion Trevor Immelman will play in Dallas this week in his first appearance since winning at Augusta, while European Ryder Cup hopefuls Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter are also present in the field.
