Anthony Kim finished 16 under par to clinch the Wachovia Championship title on Sunday.
The 22-year-old American''s victory, which he described afterwards as a "wonderful experience", means he becomes the youngest winner on the PGA Tour in over six years.
Kim''s final round of 69 put him five shots clear of second-placed Ben Curtis, while Jason Bohn finished third on ten under par.
"I can''t even put it into words right now. I don''t know what to say," Kim said when asked to comment on his maiden PGA Tour win.
The US player had a four shot overnight lead going in the final round and hit four birdies on the front nine to put himself in a commanding position, meaning he could afford three bogeys during the last six holes.
World number three and recent Byron Nelson Championship winner Adam Scott finished on six under par at the Wachovia.
