A 22-year-old golfer has stunned members of his club in Illinois by claiming to sink five holes-in-one in a six-day period.
Curt Hocker''s phenomenal run began at El Paso Golf Club on Wednesday October 29th and included two holes-in-one on Saturday November 2nd, the Pretoria Journal Star reports.
The college student, who also works in the pro shop at El Paso, described his series of single shots as "unbelievable".
Mr Hocker said: "There''s nothing I can say, other than it''s unreal. I don''t know how to describe it."
Meanwhile, the newspaper states that his achievement is either "the most unique and amazing feat of its kind" or "an incredibly complex hoax involving more than 30 people".
Several members of the club, including El Paso pro Steve Fulton, have supported Hocker''s claims.
Memorable holes-in-one from the 2008 season include Ian Poulter''s shot during the first round of the Masters in April and Miguel Angel Jimenez during the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in May.
