Ping G2L. The Ping G2 Iron Series represents the most forgiving iron Ping has ever designed.The G2L is the ladies' model in the G2 Series. The clubs feature the new, ultra-lightweight TFC 100 ladies shaft and loft configurations designed to optimise distance gaps between clubs. This allows the lady golfer to play a round without the frequent "in-between yardage" shots that make club selection difficult. The G2L features the same technology found in the G2 irons, including a centre of gravity moved away from the face, and a wider sole for improved launch and more forgiveness. A new sand-blasting process improves ball-to-face contact for added control and consistent performance across the face. The standard ladies' combination is a mix of G2 irons - 4HL, 5HL, 7, 8, 9, PW, SW, LW. Ping G2s were the biggest selling iron in the US in 2004.
