Mizuno MP-60 Irons

Mizuno MP-60 irons. New for 2006. Building upon the award winning success of Cut Muscle design, the Mizuno product development team evolved this game changing technology to now include FORGIVENESS. The new MP-60 Cut Muscle Cavity continues to maximize the performance for today's more aggressive game. The Grain Flow Forged MP-60 is 4% larger and has a 10% larger sweet area when compared to its outstanding Cut Muscle counterpart, the MP-32. The Cut Muscle design in the MP-60 delivers a slightly higher ball flight in the long irons, and a mid trajectory in the scoring irons, while the Cut Muscle design precisely positions the COG in each club for a consistent and predictable ball flight. Manufactured from Grain Flow Forged 1025 select mild carbon steel which provides the ultimate soft, solid, consistent feel. Durable Double nickel chrome plated finish. Modified U-grooves produce the ideal spin rate for maximum playability in all conditions. Rolled leading edge, cambered mid-sole, and rolled trailing edge deliver consistent striking ability from all types of lies.

These clubs are brilliant!!! Compared to my old set of Taylor made LT the spin you get off the short irons is amazing. Struck out the middle you don't feel the ball. A brilliant purchase from Golfbidder!

This is the first time using mizuno clubs and I have no reason to use any other clubs anymore. Very soft feeling and great accuracy. Best clubs EVER.

I have come to expect alot from Mizuno clubs having used a set of MX20's for three years and the MP60's certainly deliver. Beautiful looking clubs which sit lovely behind the ball and are nowhere near as hard to use as some people would have you believe. The short irons are beautifully shaped and I like the way they are slightly heavier than MX20 which helps to encourage a slow smooth swing. Also prefer these clubs to MX20 as they give a more penetrating flight. Cant wait to get back out on the golf course with them again!!!

You name them, I've had them..Ping ,Taylor Made,Ram,Callawy, Lynx and lots of Mizuno. I've still got 3 seta of Mizuno ( TP9, 11, and 19s) in the garage, and a set of Adams Tour Idea (Red) in the locker.... but it is the MP60's that are in the bag. Don't get me wrong, they've been out a few times to try other clubs,as I am an inveterate "swapper, but I keep going back to the MP 60s. For a start they are one of the best lookers on the market..blade- like at address, but with the comfort of the slight cavity to look at as you wait for your turn to play the 185yd tee shot at the 14th at Alwoodley with the wind across your path and the bunkers waiting.. The long irons give a good high flight, but with that pro trajectory of rising to a point and then dropping.. not a parabolic sort of flight like the Pings..the short irons seem to penetrate on without ballooning.. even when I am having a "bad swing day" So, what's not to like..well, I have friends who can't hit them, find them heavy and prefer to have a "frying pan" in their hands, but having lovingly saved for my first set of blades about 15 years ago ( the TP 11s) I have been a fan of that sort shape of club ever since...the MP 60 gives you the "look", aligned with the modern technology to play it.

I previously owned a set of titleist blades which were sometimes difficult to hit consistently if you were having a bad day. I then decided that I needed a new set of more forgiving irons but with the "players" look that my old irons had. This set ticked all of the boxes for me, the ball fizzes off the club face with a good high trajectory. I would recommend these clubs to anyone who is wanting a little more forgiveness and the same workability of blades.

These irons are excellent in the fist stableford I played with them I shot 50 points 14 under my handicap 8 over course I made 4 birdies, but I found these irons so easy to shape and hit in differnet ways and got a clean strike from and lie!!! recomend these to anyone.

Changed from TM RAC MB TP Forged to these beauties. So much easier to hit from 3-5. Absolutely lovely feel, not at all dull like full cavity but not too harsh as blade but just as accurate. Give great confidence. Great small sized club head. Sweet spot feels larger than other reviews stated, and I think these are ideal clubs to bring down an 18 handicapper to a single figure. I feel that these clubs will take me past that threshold, if only I could putt. Buy them and enjoy.

THESE IRONS ARE THE BEST I'VE USED FOR YEARS ADDED AN EXTRA 10YDS PER CLUB WHICH MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE WHEN YOU'RE 170 OUT AND YOU GET THE BENEFIT OF SOME EXTRA LOFT,WOULD SAY ANY PLAYER FROM 12 HANDICAP DOWN WILL REALLY ENJOY THESE IRONS

davmac H.Cap 8 (Posted 24.10.07 )

Find the sweet spot and you get that exquisite Mizuno feel; the trouble is the sweet spot is very hard to find. Even with a reputed 10% larger sweet area this set remains exclusively for the very good ball striker. The Aldila NV MLTi while a more comfortable weight than the standard Dynamic gold steel shaft still requires a 5-iron swing speed in excess of 77 mph to extract the best performance from the shaft. If you are wondering, am I good enough? Stick to the R7 tp X-20 tour or Ping i10 I wish I had.
