Mizuno MX-560 Driver

Mizuno MX560 driver. New for the 2008 season Mizuno have designed the MX560 driver to be ultimately forgiving and powerful for maximum distance off the tee no matter where shots are hit on the face. Mizuno's R&D team discovered that the geometry of previous square and geometrically influenced drivers sacrificed distance in their quest for maximum MOI (resistance to twisting). A study of geometry proved that an optimal design could both maximize up/down and toe/heel MOI without a reduction in ball speeds and driving distance. A CNC milled plasma welded CORTECH face delivering the maximum R&A / USGA allowable energy transfer enhances the MX-560 distance further still. The MX-560 also introduces a re-engineered a bulge and roll design to the face that the R&D team discovered was key in improving consistency from off centre strikes. A Power Bar construction, reminiscent of Mizuno's original T-ZOID design re-enforces the crown and provides a distinct alignment aid. To help generate maximum club head speed and carry distance Mizuno have installed an extremely light 55g shaft which is 1/2" longer than standard. The club face has also been milled to tight tolerances to expand the sweetspot area and make the club ultra forgiving on off centre hits. And finally the face angle of each loft has cleverly been tailored to the type of player who is likely to use the club, namely the lower lofts are square with higher lofts a fraction closed to help eliminate the slice most club golfers suffer from.
