Ping Eye 2+ Irons

Ping Eye 2+. The Ping Eye 2 started the revolution in perimeter weighted clubs. The deep cavity allowed weight to be distributed around the outside of the head - resulting in a high moment of inertia (MOI). In simple terms, it meant the clubhead resisted twisting at impact on off-centre hits - so it was - and remains - very forgiving. Still highly useable, Ping Eye 2 irons are without doubt the most popular irons in the history of the game. So enduring is their appeal, they are still available to buy new from Ping as a special order.

I have played three rounds with the Ping Eye 2 irons and my game really has improved. Especially the long irons are very easy to hit. The wedges are also very good. The difference with my "old" irons Nike SLingshots is unbelievable. I'm looking forward to play my next round with the Pings.

Having searched the net and golfbidder.co.uk for days on end I decided on Ping Eye 2+. The reason for this was the excellent reviews these clubs have had over the last 20 years, yes, they have been on the go for that long. The clubs were tried and tested when I took part in the longest day of golf event which was 72 holes on 4 courses in 1 day. They served me well and gave me the lowest score this year on my home course. The low irons are very easy to hit and give you confidence even on firm fairways. The wedges are good but were a different loft to my previous set which takes time to get used to. I will be using these clubs for a few seasons yet and my next club will be a Ping branded one.

These clubs are fantastic, with a lovely a feel and control.the picthing wedge is a delight, pitched in for a birdie on my first hole and continued to picth close to the hole the whole round. They arrived in great condition and i'd reccomend these clubs to anyone.

Have tried many different sets of irons over the past 20 years, but still come back to the eye+ 2s.Classic shape with the proper amount of offset and fitted with the shaft that suits they just can't be beaten.Copied by most manufacturers, but not bettered.

I have found that these clubs, although a bit older than normal, make the flight of the ball that much higher and help with judging distances more accurately. The 'stiffness' factor of the shafts has all but gone and the clubs play as a normal 14 handicapper would expect.

I purchased the Ping 1 iron a few weeks ago and I am hitting the ball as far as a good shot with a driver, but I have far more control. Lovely sweet spot.

If you are an improving golfer with a fast swing these are the clubs for you. I previously used graphite shafts which were far to inconsistant with regard to length of shot. Get on the range with these, find your distance and hey presto. If you can hit the ball straight you'll find the same spot every time. A good game improvement club John

I have had a set of eye2+ for about 8 years and these are the best irons i have ever hit, i visit gainsbourgh once ever 2 years for a custom fit. I have tried dci990 and X14's and my pings put these to shame when it comes to ball striking. great value, great clubs i would say one of the best on the market.

I've had a PING EYE 2+ 1-iron which I've had for years,it's the BeCu version, and I wouldn't play with any other "driving iron",I hit it straight every time and can normally hit it as far as my driver(PING G2).It's saved me on endless occasions when tight fairways or tree lined holes may have caused a problem with a driver.

"Value for money and convenience were important. However the biggest plus point was that I could find exactly the specification I was looking for. Especially as I was looking for a product which had been discontinued and would have been difficult to source"
