I purchased this club on the basis of reputation. I have heard nothing but good things about the firesole, and i pleased to say i am delighted with it. I have never been confident off the tee and this club was my last hope really, the first few times i used it i was hitting it about 220, then i used a higher tee and hit the sweet spot and the ball flew off the back of a 304 yard par 4. I now only need to use a 8 iron at the most to reach the green as this club has added so much length to my game, lovely club.

Model Info 2001

Taylor Made Firesole Driver. Revolutionary at the time, the Taylor Made Firesole driver contains an explosive power band that bundles energy and releases it directly to the ball on contact. Featuring a titanium head, the sole is centre-weighted by way of high-density tungsten plugs - placing all available force directly under and behind the ball.
