Awesome clubs. I carry both the 16 (as my second tee club) and 19 degree. The small club heads and rails make them very playable from less than perfect lies. I use my 19 deg as a utility club, punching shots low from poor lies and greenside chipping. Despite the small club head, I'm very consistent and long off the tee with the 16 deg. I also find the retro styling (gold shaft, dimple skirt, deep club face and rails) very cool and classy looking.

Model Info 2004

TaylorMade Retro Raylor. TaylorMade Retro Raylor's updated, low-profile dimple skirt styling gives it an aggressive, classic look, but its new performance is a product of advanced Powerframe Technology. This high-strength 455 stainless steel rolled faceplate construction allows for a thinner face and a stiffer frame to generate higher initial ball velocity and greater distance. CAD-optimised centre of gravity located lower and deeper in the clubhead provides optimum launch trajectory for maximum distance and overall playability-ideal for getting up and out of tough lies. Its longer, sleeker dual rail design invites play through fairways or the rough with greater club speed and stability.
