I had been looking for a decxent 3 wood for a long time, before I came across the 980F - I like the club because of the shape of its head - which is relatively small in comparison to other 3 woods, this enables me to hit it both off the tee and the fairway (or more likely rough) as well. Its given me a real alternative to hitting driver off many par 4's and bought a few par 5's into reach in two because i know have a fairway wood I can hit from the floor. I love this club!!

i think that the club overall was excellent. Too start with it was hard because i had to get used to the stiff shaft. I was glad that the club i bought was a Titleist and that it was fairly recent. Overall i thought that the technology of the club was great and golfbidder is amazingly cheap compared to other websites. Thankyou GOLFBIDDER!

Off the tee and off the deck with woods are my downfall....But along came this 3 wood. Its straight and long off the tee and very easy to hit off the deck. Its the first 3 wood i have bought off the site and i can pretty safely say that it will be the last for a while as i just love the club! Thank you golfbidder.com

great club, got it last week and my first hit with it went 240 yards onto the green(second shot on par 5), very easy to get air born also easy to shape it.10/10

bought club seven days ago club in exellent condition used club twice since once on range other time on course both times really inpressed with distance hitting and high ball flight for soft landings on quick greens overall good purchase

Fantastic club, which has given me confidence and consistancy in striking the ball off the ground. The relatively small head is not a put off, if you keep your swing smooth. It's got a nice balance to it, with a solid touch. I'll be replacing my 3 wood with a Titleist 980F........

Although this club is unlike my other clubs it fits in perfectly between my driver and three wood.

malky2769 H.Cap 17 (Posted 06.07.06 )

I bought this as I thought it would be a good alternative to my Big Bertha 2-iron off the tee on shorter par4's, especially on windier days. I'm pleasantly surprised by it's distance and ease of use off the deck. Recommended.

After trying various fairway woods have finaly found one that feels nice when striking the ball and is in fact as long or longer than my currant 3wood,I will therefore shortly be looking for a 980F 3wood to match my 5wood.

I bought this on golf bidder 2 weeks ago as a replacement for my taylor made rescue i broke against a tree (follow through not in anger!) I went down to the range and was killing it off the mats, lovely ball flight- (the type you get in diagrams on the side of a sleeve of balls!) carrying about 220-230 bit if a different story on the course though. It was good off the tee but i had a few problems off the fairway. The head is pretty small and if you have a dodgy lie it can be hard to get up and a little less forgiving than the rescue. Having said that i've only had it for a week or 2 and will persevere to get my range form! it's a lovely looking club and feels great off the middle!

THIS CLUB IS EASY TO USE AND I FIND IT EASY TO SHAPE SHOTS.IT IS FAIRLY HEAVY WITH THE STEEL SHAFT AND SO I FINDIT EASIER TO GET THE BALL UP IN THE AIR. FANTASTIC CLUB THANKS GOLFBIDDER TEAM

My 980F is my get out club, the head is pleasant to look at and the club is very easyily gets the ball airborne. I would recommend this club to anyone.

Titleist 980F. The Titleist 980F fairway wood features a 2-piece face pull construction. A thin face plate and thinner outer face flange supports the insert for hotter feel and consistent ball speed. The large head and deeper Centre of Gravity produces more dynamic loft. The bevelled leading edge keeps club from digging and a relieved trailing edge glides through turf while the continuous sole radius improves playability and reduces ground interference.
