The major innovation is the use of the new ST-385 ‘Hot Face’ alloy which increases ball velocity at impact, adding 10 - 15 yards for Tour-level players.The perimeter weighting system has also been further improved to tighten the dispersion rate and make it even easier to get the ball airborne. The mid face design of the SS2.5 is designed to be ideal for all players from low to high handicap, producing a high launch, low spin ball flight, making it easy to get in the air without losing any penetrating distance. Driving Cavity on the sole allows for greater distance and control and a better balance weight distribution across the face of the club, resulting in more stability on heel/toe miss-hits and a wider sweet spot. Deeper Centre of Gravity (CG) creates a penetrating ball flight with no balloon effect making the ball less apt to be affected by the wind.
