an exellent club better distance off the fairway helping bring my handicapp down

alsbar H.Cap 21 (Posted 24.06.08 )

So far so good. Adds about 40 yds to my distance from the same model 5 wood so is working well on the par 5 holes. Not bad against my driver (same model) but only used on the driving range so far. I think it will come into its own in heavy conditions when I need all the distance I can get and struggle with only a 5 wood in my bag for the fairways.

took delivery of a3 wood and a5 wood last week and found them to be just what i needed.straight down the middle and much longer than my old clubs. Now ican look forward to getting my handicap down.Fantastic service too, placed order lunch-time Monday trying out the clubs on Tuesday morning. Many thanks Golfbidder.

Excellent feel! Great sounding contact and much more control than any other wood i've used before. Already bought the 7 wood and now looking for a 3 wood to complete the set.

This is the first wood i have brought and it is lovely to use. Strikes well everytime and gets good distance, a real asset to my game, great club.

My G2 driver is excellent, but I needed a safer club to compliment it and on Golfbidder I found the G2 3 wood exactly the same as my driver i.e. same model, shaft type and flex etc. The first stroke with it was amazing - straight down the middle and farther than I thought. What a great buy!

Having been a mid handicapper (14-18) for many years and struggling with a slice from my woods for far too many years I spent some time researching the 460cc drivers. I settled on the G2 10deg in 2005 demo'd and got great results on an analysing computer. The stiff Aldila 65n being the actual reason for my straight-draw driving. I now have a 3 and 5 G2 with the same shaft and I can say that this has made such a difference, now a steady 10h/c and looking to single figures this season. The lesson has been learned don't just go for the club research your shaft as this is where the secret to consistent accuracy lies. Great clubs but the shaft is purrrrfect!

Playing in the Senior Section`s Annual Christmas Competition, an individual stableford, Allan returned a score of 41 points taking second place using the "new club".

This club is so good it is a continuation of the G2 driver would strongly recommend both for anyone trying to reduce their handicap

lang101 H.Cap 24 (Posted 02.04.06 )

I have only had the club just over one week and have already noticed my shots are straighter and slightly longer would reccomend this club to anyone.

keithgolf5 H.Cap 5 (Posted 20.04.05 )

This is an excellent club whether you use it on the fairway or off the tee, you can shape any shot you like and it hits a very long ball. Well done PING for this model.

True power from the Ping shafts, watch out for the hidden draw this generates. I would recommend orange dot if this is your natural game anyway. Hits an especially high ball, so would not be suitable in windy conditions.

Model Info 2005

Ping G2 fairway. The Ping G2 fairway wood features several innovations, including a variable width sole thickness that moves weight away from the face for higher launch. The deep face increases the effective hitting area, and the progressive groove pattern (the number of grooves increases as the loft increases) enhance the spin and lift characteristics. The Ping G2 Fairway Woods are colour-coded to help correct hooks and slices. The colour code is PING terminology for the lie angle, or the angle between the shaft and the sole of the club. Golfers with an undesirable fade or slice may benefit from the Green colour code (2° upright), while golfers who wish to reduce a draw or hook may benefit from the Orange colour code (2° flat). The Black colour code is the standard lie angle.
