I am delighted with the 3 wood recently purchased which is now in use with my original driver and 5 wood.I used the club for the first time and had the chance to use it in very windy conditions. The distance and ball flight were both very good and I am now looking for a 7 wood to add to my bag in the same specification.

R5 3wood did the job, easy to hit off the fairway makes the long par 4s reachable in 2

Of all the 3 woods I have used in the past, this one is by far the easiest to hit and I hit it only 10 - 15 yards less than my driver, well worth buying if you cannot get on with a driver as not much distance will be lost.

First round played with this club and came in one under Surprisingly easy to hit off dodgy lies and surprisingly long for a 5 wood. Saved me at least 2 shots on this round and got me much closer to a couple of par fives than I expected - with a bit of self-belief, they'll be in range. Things can only get better!

Delighted to have found this club on Golfbidder. As a 17 handicap senior golfer with a swing speed of 70/80 (so I'm told by the pro.)I find the T.M. R5 series, with the right shaft, very easy to hit giving me good distance (for my age) and accurancy. On the cost side, being replaced by newer models ie. R7 and Rapture, they are now becoming available secondhand in good condition at affordable prices. Worth trying.

the r5 dual 3 wood is very forgiving i just cannot believe how easy it is to hit i played in a greensome mixed yesterday and out of 18 holes i hit 1 only off to the left everything else straight and true for approx 200/220 yds i reckon that for a 70+ senior that was very good

I have recently purchased this club and found it to be excellent. It is well made and nicely balanced and connects well with the ball sounding a reassuring 'clink' and giving a straight hit. It complements the long irons giving a high flying shot into the green, great for my standard of golf. I would recommend this club to most golfers.

Taylor Made R5 Dual Fairway Wood. The r5 dual fairway woods combine a high COR for fast ball speed with a low, deep centre of gravity. Together, these features make it easy to hit the ball on a fast, high, long carrying ball flight that maximizes distance. The TLC cartridges are strategically located and weighted to increase the club head’s MOI, and to position the centre of gravity both low and deep. That increases the club head’s forgiveness and makes it easy to launch the ball smoothly and cleanly from a variety of lies on a straight, high and long carrying ball flight. Extremely forgiving titanium clubhead makes it very easy to hit.
