I am very pleased with the S58 irons. They don't look like any PING iron I have used before. If you like blades but want a little more forgiveness these are for you. They sit and look just like a blade at address but have the muscle-back to give just the right assistance. Exceptional feel, as good as any forged Titleist, Mizuno I have used - great clubs !

as with previous purchases from golfbidder, the service and delivery were excellent. the irons as you would expect from ping are attractive on the eye and although looking like blades have the forgiveness of cavity backs. however, there is a distinctive change in ball flight between the long and short irons.being used hitting high flying wedges with my old irons, it is taking a bit of getting used to with the s58's.as they say --practise makes perfect. lets hope so!!

Model Info 2007

Ping S58 irons. New for the 2007 season, Ping S58 irons are aimed at lower handicappers and feature tour-proven technology which elevates the feel and performance of a smaller, traditional head. As used by, among others, Lee Westwood to win the Romano Open de Andalucia in May 2007. The ball fight and distance control preferred by players seeking to compete at the highest levels is achieved through strategic placement of the centre of gravity further back in the long irons and moved forward in the short irons. This results in a slightly higher trajectory in the long irons and a more penetrating, controlled ball flight in the shorter irons. The dual cavity design combines with a vertical stabilizing bar to enhance feel by positioning the CG towards the centre of the face.
